Workshop on innovation in HPC for climate models

Deutsches Klimarechenzentrum (DKRZ) and Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology (MPI-M) are organising in collaboration with EU funded projects IS-ENES2 and ESiWACE (Centre of Excellence in Simulation of Weather and Climate in Europe) a series of talks on Innovation Technologies in HPC.

This meeting correspond to IS-ENES2 M6.4


The target will be to get an overview on on-going developments and to understand how the innovations will change the paradigms of the numeric weather and climate research in future.   


Speakers will be by system architects from the most important hardware partners of the weather and climate community and focus on their strategic roadmaps for the next 5 – 8 years. The vendors involved will be NEC, IBM, CRAY, BULL, INTEL and NVIDIA, the talk will take place in Nov, Dec 2016 and Jan 2017.


The talks were given under Non Disclosure Agreement.
